Fulton Church of Christ

"They devoted themselves
to the apostles' teaching
and to the fellowship,
to the breaking of bread
and to prayer."
Acts 2:42

Welcome

On behalf of all our members, welcome. We have found that visitors often have questions and would like to know more about us, so we hope the information you find here will help you get to know more about us. We're here to serve, so if you have any questions not answered here, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Simply put, we are a group of Christians who gather together regularly as we study more about God, celebrate our salvation, and spread the good news message of Christ to the world around us. We refer to ourselves as a church family more often than a congregation because of the close relationships and bonds we have with one another. While some churches have unwritten rules or regulations, we accept everyone just as they are and welcome them with open arms, just as Jesus did.

Part of being a group of "simply Christians" means we do our very best to provide a completely non-denominational environment as we attempt to recreate the 1st Century church that Jesus established. We do not have headquarters or a leadership council in another state, nor are we affiliated with any other church.

Our Beliefs and Teachings

In this postmodern world we live in today, we are constantly bombarded with people trying to teach their opinions as fact. Everyone has opinions, and most of us just can’t wait to share them with other people. That may be fine in some settings, but when it comes to studying about God and our faith, opinions just aren’t good enough. While there are some gray areas in life and areas of the Bible that are open for interpretation, there are still those areas that are clear and non-negotiable. In the biblical context, these areas are the ones that our faith is built on; they form the very foundation of Christianity.

  • There is one God who is the creator of the universe and everything in it

  • The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative word of God

  • Jesus Christ is the Son of God who willingly sacrificed Himself on the cross so that salvation would be available

  • God loves every person in the world, and wants all of us to follow His plan for salvation

  • There is one route to heaven, which is found through Jesus Christ alone

  • Salvation is given by grace to all those who believe, repent, confess, and are baptized into Christ for the forgiveness of their sins
