Thirsty Thursday Bible Study
"The place to quench your thirst for answers to spiritual questions we all struggle with"

Beginning September 4th, new/young Christians and truth-seeking non-Christians will have the opportunity to meet together as we study God's Word to find answers to some of life's biggest spiritual questions. For more information about the purpose of this new study, please read this information. Below you will find a schedule detailing the topics we will be studying on what days.

September 4 - October 9, 2008

"Why> Pursuing Answers to Life's Biggest Questions"

This six week focus on apologetics and evangelism takes participants on a journey through six of life's biggest questions. Insights from award-winning apologists reach deep inside the hearts of seekers while giving believers newfound ability to defend the Christian faith. For diverse study groups, it provides an incredible solution to the inherent conflict of teaching believers to spread God's Word while including seekers in the study. Participants experience incredible growth as they reach out to others both inside and outside the church.

iBelieve

"iBelieve: Exploring the Christian Faith"

Religion, church, and theology. Don't like what you hear? Just hit shuffle and find something else. Whatever seems right at the time will do. We're all about free speech, independent thought, and lots of choices. But when it comes to God, can we really pick and choose based on culture and preference? iBelieve uncovers the groundwork of basic biblical teaching that believers have owned for centuries. Discover new freedoms in God's foundational laws and non-negotiable truths. This is the stuff of Christianity.

December 11 - March 12, 2009
His Eternal Plan

"His Eternal Plan: Becoming a New Testament Christian"

For twelve weeks, participants will dive into an in-depth study of the most fundamental aspects of Christianity. This study will refresh what we've already learned about apologetics to give a foundation of fact-based faith. We will build on that foundation as we study God's eternal plan to redeem mankind.

Life

"The Game of Life"

Kids love to play at life. They dream up their futures as athletes, pop stars, and dolphin trainers. Then the harsh reality sinks in. Anything worthwhile takes a lot of hard work. In the game of life, it sometimes feels like we've had a really bad turn. We'd like to spin again and try to land in a better spot. Guess what? You can! God created this game of life and He is all about re-dos and second chances. Giving it over to God is not just a trite saying. Discover newfound strength and confidence as we open the book of Proverbs to reveal the secret to winning the game of life.

April 9 - May 14, 2009
Made

"Made: Created to Make a Difference"

This is a deeply impacting journey leading people closer to the heart of God. Six biblical truths bring new understanding to God's intentional design for each of us, affecting participants in profound ways. Believers find new meaning in their faith walk and seekers uncover new cause for faith. This six week experience plants seeds that yield fruit for years to come as people discover new joy and purpose in serving and come to know a God who created us to make a difference.

Pursuit

"The Pursuit: Vintage Values for a Relevant Faith"

There's romance in nostalgia. Going classic, retro, or vintage conjures up good feelings. We dismiss the bad, idolize the good, and strive to remix the simple comforts of yesterday with today's ease and technology. The first Christians had brushed shoulders with Christ. Their devotion to His timeless truths and practices effected change and brought the Gospel to the world. In today's church, we can remix music and play with technology but the principles found in the book of Acts stand true and unchanged. The Pursuit unpacks the vintage values of community, generosity, worship, and more to help us live our faith in real and relevant ways.

A storyboard marriage. The promise of lifelong love and commitment fall prey to human frailties as we struggle with sin and fail each other. No wonder there's so much divorce. But God's plan is that marriage be a demonstration of His grace and love to the world around us. By His grace, He restores our relationships and shows us how to live them out to His glory.
